"New Age" might not be the best adjective to describe the experience that you're in line to witness at this event. It's a little more complex than just bringing in new sounds to traditional mariachi music! You could argue that for years, mariachi groups stepped out on stage, did their thing, and walked off. Mariachi Herencia de Mexico, on the other hand, is committed to a much more dynamic show that goes beyond their mix of classics and original songs. They're going to make an effort to liven the night and make sure that you're out of your seat dancing for most of the performance.  

Juan Gabriel and Mariachi Classics Will be a Part of the Performance

One of the most popular tracks that the Grammy-nominated Mariachi Hacienda de Mexico has on streaming platforms is actually a mashup of Juan Gabriel songs. That speaks to their willingness to not throw away the classics. This is the point we've been trying to hammer home this entire time! "El Son de la Negra" and maybe even some Juan Gabriel classics like "Ya Lo Se Que Tu Te Vas" or "Amor Eterno" are going to share airtime with some of the band's original songs. It can be a tricky event to find the "ideal" spots at the Kiva Auditorium for a marichi performance. Being too close to the stage might not be the best idea. The music might blast a little too loudly and with mariachis that can be overwhelming.
