Well well well - you know what we say around these parts y’all: there’s no party like a Kiva party! Day in and day out, we are hype to bring you the best music there is out here jams we just love to dance to! And this summer we’ve got a line up of shows that will make every week feel just a teeny bit quicker. That’s why we’re SO excited to welcome Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass to the Kiva this June as they take on their 2026 And Other Delights Tour, a coast-to-coast celebration of one of latin jazz, brassy funk beats that will have the trumpets MOVING, and some of the best music to ever come out of the 1960s Mexico. The crew’s got over forty shows stretching from spring through late summer - with a whole new lineup of musicians backing the legendary trumpeter Herby. And whether it’s your first time here at the Kiva or you’re one of our consistent weekend warriors - welcome! We can’t wait to see you! We’re so happy for our summer concert season! And we know we’re gonna have a BALL - right here with the Brass boys tell it all! 

Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass first came to life in early-1960s Los Angeles, when Alpert, born-and-raised Southern Californian with a love for mariachi, jazz, and everything in between, began experimenting with a fresh, trumpet-forward sound that felt both international and undeniably American all at the same time. His first big hit, “The Lonely Bull,” put him on the map, and within just a few years he linked up with the Tijuana Brass. And after that… the rest was history. What happened next? Multiple albums hitting the Billboard Top 10, millions of records sold worldwide, and showing the whole world what that southern cali coast flavor that stretches from the borderline to Hollywood sound stages to living rooms across the globe. Their 1965 album Whipped Cream & Other Delights was their magnum opus. The cover, the MUSIC, the flavor - all of it cemented them as funky jazz GOATS - and it became an instant classic and is now celebrating its 60th (!!!) anniversary. One of the major inspirations behind this new tour, we’re all in need of a little delightful times, don’t you agree?! NOW, 9 GRAMMY Awards and a Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction later - the band finds themselves being able to do whatever they want. So another full year tour? YES! DUH! Why not?! We love to see it!
